The Faculty of Science Writing Competition 2011 has held to arouse the public interests in science and encourage our students to get close to the public. Our theme is “Interesting Science in Daily Life”. It is aimed to provide a platform for all science students to make use of what they have learnt, to discover the interesting science theories and phenomenon in daily life, and present them in a simple, creative and attractive way to the public.
Ms Chan Lai Yu (Chemistry, Year 2) won the champion with her entry titled “The mission of tadpoles”, showing the interesting science theory behind clean process. Ms Li Xinping (Biology, Year 3) became the first runner-up and Mr Wong Tze Fung (Biology, Year 2) was awarded second runner-up in this competition.
A prize presentation ceremony was held in May and each of the winners received their certificate and the prize to recognize their achievements.
