Daphne Chong receives the Innovation and Technology Scholarship Award.

Daphne Chong (Applied Biology, Year 2) was granted scholarships in the 2012 Innovation and Technology Scholarship Award Scheme.

Daphne was delighted at receiving the award. She said, “I am honoured to represent HKBU as a scholarship awardee. I would like to use the scholarship to pursue further studies in molecular biology in the United Kingdom in the coming semester as my interest focuses on cancer treatment. Studying abroad will also broaden my horizons.”

The Innovation and Technology Scholarship Award Scheme is jointly organised by the Innovation and Technology Commission, the Hongkong Bank Foundation and the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups. Successful awardees will receive a scholarship of not more than HK$150,000 to enable them to widen their outlook by joining overseas attachment programmes, local internship programmes, mentorship programmes, or community service projects.

This year, the 25 awardees come from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and Hong Kong Baptist University.
