Our department is aimed to provide quality IT education/training programs, and pursue academic research as well as service excellence for the advancement of Information Technology (IT). With our dedicated faculty and staff, we are now strategically positioned to further excel in both teaching and research. Our specific goals are:

1. Teaching - To develop our students to be responsible self- learners, who will be well received by prospective employers and in graduate schools;

2. Research - To create new knowledge, as well as demonstrate leaderships in specific areas of research strength, such as Pattern Analysis, Intelligent Agents, and Computer Networks;

3. Professional Services - To maintain strong links with the industry through quality consultancy services and other professional activities;

4. IT Education - To help improve IT proficiency in the society through state-of-the-art IT courses and programs for professionals and schools
