Beijing-Hong Kong-Singapore Joint Centre for Nonlinear and Complex Systems

Director: Dr Zhou Changsong

The Beijing-Hong Kong-Singapore Joint Centre for Nonlinear and Complex Systems (BHS) was founded jointly by Peking University, Beijing Normal University, Hong Kong Baptist University, and the National University of Singapore in 2004. These four universities are well-known in the area of nonlinear science and they have been collaborating closely for a long period of time. This strategic research alliance was forged to strength their collaboration so that they will become even more competitive on the world scene.

BHS aims to become a world-class centre for nonlinear science. Some of the activities BHS intends to hold are: collaborative research, exchange of faculty members, joint supervision of postgraduate students and postdocs, and sponsorship of workshops and conferences. BHS also seeks to establish a close relationship with other prominent nonlinear centres worldwide.
