HKBU spin-off company establishes its first research centre in China's Greater Bay Area

New Life Medicine Technology Company Limited (“New Life”), an HKBU technology spin-off company, has established a research centre in the Healthcare Technology Park at Zhongshan, Greater Bay Area, China.

The signing ceremony was held yesterday (19 December), and was officiated by Mr Cheng Yan-kee, Chairman of the Council and Court of HKBU, and Mr Wei Weihan, Deputy Secretary of Zhongshan Municipal People’s Government and Mayor of Zhongshan.

Developed at HKBU, the patent rights relating to the early detection of prostate cancer have been transferred to New Life and the company will continue with the development of healthcare products. In addition, New Life has received major investment from a listed pharmaceutical company in Hong Kong for its technology.
