University recognises outstanding faculty members and long-serving staff at 56th Founders' Day Thanksgiving Service

The University honoured five faculty members for their outstanding performance at its 56th Founders' Day Thanksgiving Service today (5 March). In addition, 174 staff who have served the University for 10 years or more were presented with Long Service Awards in recognition of their dedication and valuable contribution to the University. Dr. Moses Cheng, former Chairman of the University's Council and Court, was invited to share the thanksgiving message on this occasion.

On behalf of the University, Professor Albert Chan (third from left), President and Vice-Chancellor, presented the President's Awards for Outstanding Performance to faculty members. It was delighted to learn that Professor Chan Wing-hong (third from right) of Chemistry was presented with the President's Award for Outstanding Performance in Service; Professor Chris Wong (second from right), Acting Head of Biology was received the President's Award for Outstanding Performance in Teaching and Professor Zhu Lixing (second from left), Chair Professor and Head of Mathematics, who was granted the President's Award for Outstanding Performance in Scholarly Work.
