Research Postgraduate Students One-Day Tour to Cheung Chau

Science RPg students and staff members enjoyed a one-day tour in Cheung Chau

A one-day tour to Cheung Chau was successfully organized by the RPg representatives on October 26, 2019. With the participation of over forty students and staff members, the event reinforced the relationship, communication and collaboration amongst the RPg students in the Faculty of Science.

After assembling at the Central Pier 5 at 10:00 am, participants took sailing to the island, relaxed by the gentle wave of the sea and left the hustle-and-bustle city behind. They arrived Cheung Chau island at around 11:15 am and took a group photo. Following a 5-minute walk, a lunch with fresh seafood and healthy vegetables was served at a popular local restaurant. During lunch, students and staff members got to know each other and shared their study and life experience.

Energized by the lunch, the participants explored the island in the afternoon. Some foodies went for local snacks, from iced fruits and Mochi to mega fish balls, while others walked through the streets to appreciate the relaxing yet vibrant local life. Upon that, a group of participants enjoyed a more immersive experience by dabbling and swimming in the crystal blue sea. Refreshed by this lovely one-day tour, participants went back by sailing in the glow of twilight.
