BSc (Hons) in Computer Science (Computer Systems) (2003)
MPhil (Computer Science) (2006)
University life at HKBU is fun-packed and full of challenges. Our department provides regular classes and summer workshops, in which teachers teach us multimedia tools, network and server administration and software development tools. These summer workshops prepare us for our future career. Employees with these skills are much sought-after by a wide range of companies such as financial companies, hospitals, software firms, logistic companies, game production houses and so on. I am glad that I got offers from four different companies upon my graduation.

CHU Chun Ho, Derak Customer Relationship Manager II, HSBC
BSc (Hons) in Applied Chemistry (2000)
When I was studying at HKBU, I never thought of pursuing a career in the business sector. However, my knowledge and sensitivity to logical number make it possible for me to be a customer relationship manager of an international bank. I strongly believe that the knowledge you learn in university does not necessarily translate into factors of career success. What matters is how you apply it to the situation facing you. Professional training provided by professors of HKBU equipped me well for an ideal career.

HA Wai Yan Forensic Analyst, Forensic Science Division, Government Laboratory
BSc (Hons) in Combined Sciences
(Applied Biology) (1994)
I love doing research and enjoy the journey in quest of truths and answers. When I was studying at HKBU, I determined to embark on the path of research. Whenever I feel lost in perplexity, the encouraging words by Prof Ricky Wong, Department of Biology of HKBU, pop up in my mind,
"Doing research requires perseverance. You have to get all the jobs done to perfection. Researchers should also have the spirit of scientists, namely, strive to have a clear understanding of every single detail and never give up."
